Plithogenic Cognitive Maps (PCM) introduced by Nivetha and Smarandache are extensively applied in decision making. This research work extends PCM to Induced PCM by introducing the concept of combined connection matrix (CCM). The proposed induced PCM decision making model with CCM is applied to examine the glitches of online learning system. It was observed that expert’s opinion on the associational impact between the factors considered for study in the form combined connection matrix is more advantageous on comparison with conventional connection matrix representation, as CCM is a mixture of crisp/fuzzy/intuitionistic/neutrosophic representations. The proposed model will certainly facilitate the decision makers in designing optimal solutions to the real time problems and it shall be extended based on the needs of the decision makers and employed in various other decision making environment. The shortcomings of the model are also discussed in brief.

Neutrosophy as science has inclusive attributes that make possible to extract the contributions of neutral values in the analysis of data sets; it builds a unified field of logic for transdisciplinary studies that transcend the boundaries between natural and social sciences. Neutral philosophy seeks to solve the problems of indeterminacy that appear universally, to reform the current natural or social sciences, with an open methodology to promote innovation. The research products related in this special issue start from the premise that the difficulty is not the complexity of the social environment, but the instrumental obsolescence to observe, interpret and manage that complexity, there are bold approaches and proposals for valid solutions that come to enrich the universe of resolution through the use of neutral methods. In the last year, the use of tools related to neutrosophy and its application to the social sciences, modeling of social phenomena based on simulation agents, problems associated with health, psychology, education, environmental management and sustainability solutions and legal sciences has increased in the events organized by the Asociacion Latinoamericana de Ciencias Neutrosoficas (ALCN in Spanish). Zadeh introduced in 1965 the theory of fuzzy sets, in which truth values are modelled by numbers in the unit interval [0, 1], for tackling mathematically the frequently appearing in everyday life partial truths. In a second stage, when membership functions were reinterpreted as possibility distributions, fuzzy sets were extensively used to embrace uncertainty modelling. Uncertainty is defined as the shortage of precise knowledge or complete information and possibility theory is devoted to the handling of incomplete information. Zadeh articulated the relationship between possibility and probability, noticing that what is probable must preliminarily be possible. Following the Zadeh’s fuzzy set, various generalizations (intuitionistic, neutrosophic, rough, soft sets, etc.) have been introduced enabling a more effective management of all types of the existing in real world uncertainty.
