Book Description
This project document explored the Houston Northwest Seventh-day Adventist Church’s lack of evangelistic strategies and leadership development. In addition to a community demographical surveys and a spiritual health assessment evaluation, a series of contemporary evangelistic methods and strategies were deemed the best antidote for the problems of the church. This study also took into account the church’s demographics and their culture of origin, religious convictions, racial makeup, traditional practices, and economic conditions. In order to develop these methods and strategies, this project used the examples set forth by the Old Testament model on revitalized worship, the example of King Hezekiah, the New Testament model on leadership, and the example of Jesus Christ to his disciples. This mandate notes that once leaders are led by the Holy Spirit to bring the people of God back to worship, they must proclaim the advent of Jesus Christ. In addition, leaders should, as Jesus did, teach members how to become steward leaders. They should teach members on how to use their spiritual gifts, talents, and skills to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ. Finally, church leaders should develop members into disciples and church leaders themselves.

Book Description
The Global Corruption Report 2001 is the new annual publication of Transparency International, the leading global anti-corruption NGO. By providing an overview of the "state of corruption" around the globe, the Global Corruption Report fills a significant gap in the existing literature. It assembles news and analysis on corruption and the fight against it around the world, highlighting international and regional trends, and significant instances of reform. It also reveals the links between global, regional and national developments in the corruption field, and does so from the independent perspective of an NGO. The book includes reports by leading experts on topical issues such as political party funding, money laundering, and corruption in international sport, exploring in particular the global nature of these themes. It also contains 12 regionally-focused reports, written by journalists from around the world. The report's final data and research section delivers a unique survey of the contemporary corruption and anti-corruption research terrain, with contributions from a range of IGOs, NGOs, the private sector, and academics. It also contains TI's own well-known Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI). The Global Corruption Report is a "must have" publication for policy-makers, business people, lawyers, journalists, academics, and anti-corruption activists the world over.

Book Description
Tracing the impact of Australia’s #MeToo moment In 2021, Australia saw rage and revelation, as #MeToo powered an insurgency against sexism and sexual violence. From once isolated survivors to political staffers, women everywhere were refusing to keep men’s secrets. In this electrifying essay, Jess Hill traces the conditions that gave birth to #MeToo and tells the stories of women who – often at great personal cost – found themselves at the centre of this movement. Hill exposes the networks of backlash against them – in government, media, schools, and in our national psyche. This is a powerful essay about shame, secrecy and, most of all, a revolutionary movement for accountability. “Here’s what men like Scott Morrison don’t understand: political spin has no power against the rage unleashed by #MeToo. At its heart, this is an accountability movement . . . The cultural revolution of #MeToo is not just about sexual violence. It is taking aim at patriarchy’s most sacred compact: the keeping of men’s secrets.”—Jess Hill, The Reckoning

Book Description
"Mission is handicapped without a sound biblical theology of mission and an understanding of the history of mission leading up to our current context. Constants in Context offers both of these elements. It is mission theology in historical perspective and/or a history of mission that is grounded theologically. The authors describe it as a systematic theology with mission at its core, and a church history shaped by the constant but always contextual Christian traditions. Furthermore it is a constructive contribution to how mission theology needs to be practical and lived out through today's church and in our world. Written collaboratively by Roman Catholic writers Stephen Bevans and Roger Schroeder, both Missionaries of the Divine Word (SVDs). It is a particularly insightful in regard to the history and the various streams of Catholic mission but it also addresses and learns from the other traditions of the church. In fact, one of the book's strengths is its attention to neglected aspects and hidden stories of church and mission history. As a result it is gratifying to be inspired by non-European mission, women in mission and various forgotten or often ignored branches of the church. The book is in three sections: first, there is a framework for cultural contexts and theological constants; second, an in-depth exploration of historical stages and different models for mission; and third, a presentation of theological frameworks for mission. The third section concludes with a case for 'mission as prophetic dialogue' being the most appropriate model for 21st century mission." -- Amazon.com.
