Pero el aspecto mAs importante de tu identidad es que Dios te creO a su imagen (GEnesis 1:27). Te hizo de modo que puedas participar en su creaciOn, asI como amar, reIrse, y conocer a Dios como amigo Intimo. Ciertamente, eres una persona importante! La Biblia revela que Dios se interesa en ti como individuo. En una de sus mAs hermosas oraciones, el salmista escribiO "Te alabo porque soy una creaciOn admirable! Tus obras son maravillosas, ...!" (Salmo 139:14). Dios te conocIa aun antes que nacieras. En aquel entonces, y ahora, El tiene planes para ti, concebidos con amor. A medida que apreciemos la preocupaciOn constante de Dios por nosotros, comenzamos a comprender cuAn horrible es el pecado. El nos ama muchIsimo a ti y a mI; pero frecuentemente, le damos la espalda haciendo lo que queremos. Por eso se interrumpen sus designios para nosotros. Sus misericordias no alcanzan a los que no estAn dispuestos a aceptarlas. Pero aun asI somos valiosos para Dios porque sigue amAndonos aun cuando no le hacemos caso. Aun cuando le ignoramos, nos ve como personas de gran valor. Entonces no debe sorprendernos que el salmista escribiera: "CuAn preciosos, oh Dios, me son tus pensamientos! CuAn inmensa es la suma de ellos! Si me propusiera contarlos, sumarIan mAs que los granos de arena. Y si terminara de hacerlo, aUn estarIa a tu lado" (Salmo 139:17-18). Dios no es un monarca celestial cruel e indiferente. Siente nuestras aflicciones; comparte nuestros dolores; y se interesa por sus criaturas. Nos ama y nos considera muy importantes. En realidad, El nos ama tanto que dio a su Hijo unigEnito para que muriera por nuestros pecados. La Biblia dice: "En esto consiste el amor: no en que nosotros hayamos amado a Dios, sino en que El nos amO y enviO a su Hijo para que fuera ofrecido como sacrificio por el perdOn de nuestros pecados" (1 Juan 4:10). Ya que tU y yo somos importantes para Dios, quiere perdonarnos y darnos una vida plena y significativa. Cuando confiamos en Jesucristo y permitimos que ordene nuestra vida, la Biblia dice que llegamos a ser "hechura de Dios, creados en Cristo JesUs" (Efesios 2:10). Puede alguien ser mAs importante? Somos la obra maestra de Dios! SI, para Dios eres valioso! Si nunca has confiado en Jesucristo para tu salvaciOn, hoy puedes aceptar su amor por ti. Dios te considera tan importante que no te obliga a aceptar su amor. Tienes que decidir si lo recibes o no. "Mas a cuantos lo recibieron, a los que creen en su nombre, les dio el derecho de ser hijos de Dios" (Juan 1:12). Si deseas aceptarlo hoy, puedes hacerlo ofreciendo la siguiente oraciOn. SeNor, gracias te doy porque enviaste a Jesucristo para morir por mis pecados y resucitar de los muertos para que yo pudiera tener tu perdOn y vivir eternamente contigo. Ahora mismo invito a Cristo a ser mi Salvador para que yo viva como su creaciOn especial y haga las obras que El tiene preparado para mI.
