We learn that George Estcourt, third son of Edmund, of Bristol City, armiger, passed his matriculation for Magdalen Hall, Oxford, in 1624, being then 15 years of age,2 became ba. In 1628, vicar of Badgeworth with Shurington, co. Gloucester, 1639, and graduated as D.D. At Trinity College in July 1661. His mother, according to Lee's Hz'slmy of Telbury, published in 1857, was Jane, daughter of Sin George Snig,3 one of the Barons of the Exchequer.
