In 1944 Jake Van Seters was arrested by the German authorities in the Netherlands. He received no trial, saw no judge, and was never informed of the reason for his arrest. He was simply locked away. After being transferred though a number of local concentration camps he was sent to a slave labour camp in eastern Germany to help fuel the German war machine.
