Book Description
Rick Warren is arguably the most influential man in American religion today. Megachurch pastor, friend of world leaders, and trend-setting spiritual entrepreneur, he is widely recognized as the new public face of evangelical Christianity in America. No other modern churchman has matched his success as a leader and motivator of Christians. His book, The Purpose-Driven Life, is the bestselling nonfiction hardcover of all time, with more than 25 million copies sold. At a time when evangelicalism stands at a political and cultural crossroads, his stature continues to rise. But who is Rick Warren? What can be learned from the story of the man behind the message? And what does his life say about the state of Christianity today? Prophet of Purpose: The Life of Rick Warren traces the road Warren has traveled, the influences in his life, his trials and temptations, and the opposition he has encountered along the way. Honest, thorough, and insightful, it explores his spiritual coming of age during the turbulent 1960s, his principled determination to sit out the divisive battles between fundamentalists and moderates in the Southern Baptist Convention in the late 1970s, and his audacious endeavor in the 1980s to build a “church for people who hate church” in the suburbs of Los Angeles. From a handful of worshippers meeting in a tiny apartment, he grew a vibrant congregation of over 22,000 and a global network of pastors who follow his strategies for building churches and transforming lives. In this unofficial biography, Jeffery L. Sheler, who had unfettered access to Warren and those closest to him, presents an intimate portrait of Warren as a man of faith and vision but also of flesh and blood and human foibles–a pastor, communicator, philanthropist, and family man who is driven by a sense of divine purpose to complete the course his God has set before him. Prophet of Purpose brings Warren and his mission to life and provides a provocative glimpse into the potential future of Christianity in America.

Book Description
This ministry toolis tailor made to provoke thought in the comprehension of principles, precepts, and prophetic methodology in the area of developing mature prophetic personnel. I'm excited that this work will help many in their endeavor of pleasing God and understanding his process of becoming. There has been a great emphasis in this time on the accuracy of prophetic gifts and talents but not much in the realm of character, integrity, and true prophetic fruit. Just because a person can call out name, social security number, telephone number, etc., does not make them accurate. In Acts 16 the damsel with the spirit of divination was very accurate in what she foretold but she had no prophetic fruit to bear witness that God initiated her into this ministry. It's important to note that according to John 15 we are to look for the fruit that's connected to the vine who is Jesus Christ. I want to personally highlight a prophet in scripture where there was not much written about their prophetic utterance but quite a bit in a few words written about his life. Genesis 5:22 "And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him." Hebrews 11:5 "By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God." These two verses of scripture speak very powerful truths of Enoch's life. The first thing it tells us is that He walked with God. Doesn't say anything about how he prophesied, who he prophesied too or how many of his words came to pass. It emphasis his walk with God. This can only mean that he functioned in extreme obedience to God's will. His focus was totally on making sure that he heart was upright towards his king. Besides Adam and Eve, we don't see any place else in scripture where it's said that someone walked with God. As prophetic personnel I believe God wants us to flow accurately and exactly in word of wisdom, word of knowledge, discerning of spirits and foretelling of the future, but more importantly that we walk with Him. The second thing it states here is that He pleased God. Imagine having the testimony that you please God! That is so powerful, to have the witness from God that he was eternally pleased to the intent that Enoch kept on walking and walked off the face of the earth an into heaven with God. As you read this course remember the objective is to have an accurate lifestyle that pleases God, it's from that place that accurate words will be released through your gift and office.

Book Description
"The church today is in great need of the prophet's ministry. And yet, there exist much ignorance and misunderstanding of this important and vital ministry. This is partly due to the lack of teaching on the subject of the prophetic ministry, the lack of depth in the understanding of spiritual matters concerning the church, fear, distrust between leaders, pride, jealousy and disobedience to the Spirit of God and the will and plan of God for end-time-ministry. All of these things and such like are to be blamed for the ignorance and misunderstanding that currently exist concerning the prophet's ministry. As the church draws nearer to the end of the church-age prophets, prophetess and prophetic ministries will become more necessary and in increasing demand. The purpose of this book is to show biblical evidence for the ministry of the modern-day prophet/prophetess and to show they still exist within the New Testament Church. The purpose is also to establish knowledge of the workings of, the need of and the importance of the modern-day prophetic ministry. Without the ministry of the prophet/prophetess the body of Christ would indeed be incomplete. " Why The Church Needs The Prophet's Ministry" is an excellent guide for opening the doors of awareness to the prophet's ministry and for the bringing about of understanding that can lead to cooperation between the five-fold-ministry, as well as the entire body of Christian workers, adding to the completion of the end-time work of the ministry."
