Book Description
When I started writing poetry, thirty years ago, I never imagined that I would be doing it for this long and touch so many peoples lives in different and fascinating ways. When I write, my first purpose is to express how I feel about something and get my emotions on paper. This has become to me in many ways a sort of therapy that allows me to deal with something creatively and at times hopefully find an answer. I also tend to write about situations that I’m trying to figure out or things that are bothering me. I always try to make my poems contain a large amount of imagery so that someone reading one of my them feels like they have entered my world for a little bit. Often that world is full of humor but also mixed with passion, heartache and hope. My poems have covered subjects like our current pandemic, schooling, the trials and tribulations of all kinds of relationships, just to name just a few. I want someone to read one of my poems and be able to find what it means to them. I have realized that a poem can mean different things to different people. I love to pull the heart strings but also entertain and make people laugh with my poems . What started as a creative writing class at UCR back in 1991, has turned into one of my passions. I hope you can find the beauty of my poems, the humor , the emotion, and share them with your friends. So enjoy the voyage through my mind. Strap on your seatbelt and be prepared for a journey that may take you to places you have never been before and maybe to a few places you have visited as well.

Book Description
Travels of the Mind represents a spiritual inner journey that is also a self-help book. In the lounge of a noblemen’s club in one Sicilian town, a few members chat and tell their travel stories. The author records their talks. After a time, he decides to write a book with their stories and conversations, adding his own travel experiences. The men discuss trips to Tanzania, Medugorje, London, Paravati (Calabria), Rome, Paris, Tokyo, New York, and two small towns in Germany and Switzerland. Their conversations range over a variety of topics, including love, spirituality, mind, life, and death. The debating points include: What is love? Can we control our mind? Is there life after death? Besides offering travel tips on Tanzania and capturing the spirit of martial arts, the book is helpful for getting over anxiety, depression, and personality disorders. The author overcame his own anxiety and panic attacks by undertaking meditation and travel, as well as by opening his heart to God.
