Book Description
English is an international language, which means that the communication with most people other than your fellow native speakers would be in English. The present time requires us to interact with other people either digitally or physically for business, education, social or personal purposes. This fact itself is enough to present the importance of English in our life. Governments, educational boards, universities and institutions have made sure that English remains an important part of the curriculum. Kids accept English as one of their major subjects since the beginning of their education. For years, they learn about various segments of the English language, with a constant increase in complexity. There are taught grammar, sentence formation, word power, pronunciation and writing paragraphs in English. It is logical to assume that all these students will easily be able to converse in English, but that is the pain point. Most people with a native language other than English have difficulty communicating with others in spoken English. It is ironic to know that a person with the ability to write in English and well conversant in grammar rules would struggle to speak in English fluently. But this truth is faced by a large percentage of people who aspire to speak fluent English. Where is the problem? The problem is in realizing the truth about learning languages. English is the second language for most people, except native English speakers in countries like England, the United States of America, Australia and Canada. The difficulty of learning a second language is that it is learned by keeping the native language at the foundation. This means that English will be learned with reference from their native language, like translations, similarities in syntax, grammar rules, words and sentence formations. It is also dependent on the education system which focuses on training grammar rules, translations and written English. It is assumed that spoken English will come naturally to the students, sadly that never happens. It is easy to find students in English medium schools and colleges struggling to present a topic in English. Most will avoid interactions in English, using the native language as the fundamental language of communication. Another fact is known to all, one of the top skills required to get any decent job is fluency in spoken English. The solution is the realization that spoken and written English have equal importance but must be taught differently. The methodology specified in the book is based on the philosophy that the language should be taught and learned like the native speaker, just the way we learned our native language. The idea will be explained and discussed in detail in the coming chapters.

Book Description
If you are not waking up every day in love with your life, it is time to make a change. If you are not in love with the person you are with, if you are not in love with your job, if you are not in love with the station you inhabit, you must realize that you are staying out of fear. A fear of the unknown. You probably think these things are your safety net, but they are not. They are your leash. The leash that is holding you back from your happiness and truly experiencing life. It would be the words that my younger brother shared with me, Great! You lost your job, now find your life, on the day I was terminated from my job that would inspire me to write this book. I wanted to keep a journal of my thoughts, experiences, and ideas every day until I was employed again. One day turned into a week, a week turned into a month, and a month would eventually turn into a year. It would be that year that would change my life forever. I was forced to face the reality of who I had become. I was able to manage to become a somewhat-successful person in life without becoming a complete person. Without truly knowing myself. My hope is that this book lands in your hands when you need it most. I think our priorities are all wrong. We are chasing wealth and material things, thinking those are what will give us a fulfilling existence. We are wrong, and it is time for each of us to find our life. Lloyd Hopkins

Book Description
Terri Lynns inspirational story shows her fight to be happy in the midst of a living hell. Her two young sons moved away with their father. Devastated, without a will to live, Terri Lynn surrenders her life to God for the strength to carry on. Her story demonstrates that when God steps in, magic and miracles follow. Living on welfare amid shattered dreams, she had to choose happiness or die in sadness. After a few years, she awakened to new possibilities and set a goal. Once her goal was set, divine guidance took over and directed her, much like a navigation system. Before long, she was living a luxurious life with her sons, and her happiness level went over the top. Her gratitude to God for delivering her from her past pain to such happiness and success put her on a spiritual path, a journey within. Her message is simple: The decision to be happy, no matter what, makes everything feel better, and when you feel good, good things happen.

Book Description
Based on a controversial opinion piece originally published in the New York Times, Reclaiming Travel is a provocative meditation on the meaning of travel from ancient times to the twenty-first century. Ilan Stavans and Joshua Ellison seek to understand why we travel and what has come to be missing from our contemporary understanding of travel. Engaging with canonical and contemporary texts, they explore the differences between travel and tourism, the relationship between travel and memory, the genre of travel writing, and the power of mapmaking, Stavans and Ellison call for a rethinking of the art of travel, which they define as a transformative quest that gives us deeper access to ourselves. Tourism, Stavans and Ellison argue, is inauthentic, choreographed, sterile, shallow, and rooted in colonialism. They critique theme parks and kitsch tourism, such as the shantytown hotels in South Africa where guests stay in shacks made of corrugated metal and cardboard yet have plenty of food, water and space. Tourists, they assert, are merely content with escapism, thrill seeking, or obsessively snapping photographs. Resisting simple moralizing, the authors also remind us that people don’t divide neatly into crude categories like travelers and tourists. They provoke us to reflect on the opportunities and perils in our own habits. In this powerful manifesto, Stavans and Ellison argue that travel should be an art through which our restlessness finds expression—a search for meaning not only in our own lives but also in the lives of others. It is not about the destination; rather, travel is about loss, disorientation, and discovering our place in the universe.
