La connaissance, la compréhension et la quantification des transferts de pesticides dans la zone viticole localisée en bordure de piémont alsacien sont un enjeu régional majeur. Le site expérimental de Rouffach (Haut-Rhin, France) situé sur cette zone est destiné à fournir les mesures à la base de cette compréhension en se basant sur un suivi des transferts surfaciques de produits phytosanitaires, au pas de temps fin et aux échelles emboîtées de la parcelle et du bassin versant viticoles. Les exutoires du bassin versant et de deux parcelles sont ainsi instrumentés afin de quantifier les flux de 17 matières actives en continu pendant 2 ans. L'instrumentation de mesure du site a été validée en identifiant les sources d'erreurs possibles (incertitude et biais) lors de l'évaluation de la concentration en pesticide. Les résultats acquis sur les deux années de suivi 2003-2004 nous permettent de faire ressortir les principaux processus, communs aux deux années, impliqués dans les transferts de pesticide dans ce type de milieu. La compréhension de ces transferts nous permet alors de pouvoir proposer un certain nombre de solutions pour limiter la problématique dans ce milieu.

The Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) enables planners to predict the average rate of soil erosion for each feasible alternative combination of crop system and management practices in association with a specified soil type, rainfall pattern, and topography. When these predicted losses are compared with given soil loss tolerances, they provide specific guidelines for effecting erosion control within specified limits. The equation groups the numerous interrelated physical and management parameters that influence erosion rate under six major factors whose site-specific values can be expressed numerically. A half century of erosion research in many States has supplied information from which at least approximate values of the USLE factors can be obtained for specified farm fields or other small erosion prone areas throughout the United States. Tables and charts presented in this handbook make this information readily available for field use. Significant limitations in the available data are identified.
