On account of the rapidly thinning ranks of the illustrious men who participated in that meeting, the memo rial meeting and its proceedings, Vol. III. Of this society could not be postponed. Ithe great fire of J une' 19, 1900, that destroyed the office of this society and the larger part of the business portion of Bloomington, again postponed our Work and we have been greatly delayed in securing some of the material for it.
