A report is made of the comparative state of readiness of a group of 90MM AA Gun Crews who were trained by an experimental method devised by psychologists at the Ohio State University. That method resulted in a program of instruction capable of saving 25% of the training time now devoted to 90MM Gun Crew Training at replacement training centers. Human Engineering Report NAVTRADEVCEN 495-01-4, 'Training 90MM AA Gun Crews, ' reports the experimental method in detail. Apparently, training can be accomplished with a saving of 25% of time, no loss in proficiency, and an improvement in motivation.
