Book Description
Young, energetic, and determined undercover police officer Nicholas Grenier is the shining star of the Hartford Police Department. For two years Grenier infiltrated the top levels of the drug trade in New England and is preparing for the biggest bust of his career-a bust that will topple the narcotics underworld like dominoes. But the bust is almost botched and in the process Greniers cover is blown, ending his undercover narcotics career. Though he is quickly promoted to detective, he becomes increasingly depressed and angry. Fearing his career itself is coming to an end, Grenier takes a leave of absence, not planning to return. Unfortunately for Grenier, someone else has other plans for him. He calls himself The Nemesis. Having waited years for just the right detective to come forward to begin his murderous game, he draws Grenier into the investigation. With only his instincts to guide him, Grenier takes over the investigation of this uncanny killer who seems to know more about the Grenier than Grenier knows about himself. As the killer claims responsibility for three murders in the span of a week, Grenier desperately tries to find any clues that could lead him to this maniacal killer. It isnt until the detective accidentally comes across a misfiled case, that he suddenly learns that this is not the first case in which a member of his family has hunted a killer calling himself The Nemesis. The case will test the detectives mental and emotional strength as he finds himself investigating two cases, one in the present and one that occurred sixty years earlier. As the detective tries to uncover the truth, he is forced to confront family demons and will learn a horrible truth about his family and himself that will link him inexorably to the killer he is hunting.

Book Description
The pioneering young scientist whose work on the structure of small worlds has triggered an avalanche of interest in networks. In this remarkable book, Duncan Watts, one of the principal architects of network theory, sets out to explain the innovative research that he and other scientists are spearheading to create a blueprint of our connected planet. Whether they bind computers, economies, or terrorist organizations, networks are everywhere in the real world, yet only recently have scientists attempted to explain their mysterious workings. From epidemics of disease to outbreaks of market madness, from people searching for information to firms surviving crisis and change, from the structure of personal relationships to the technological and social choices of entire societies, Watts weaves together a network of discoveries across an array of disciplines to tell the story of an explosive new field of knowledge, the people who are building it, and his own peculiar path in forging this new science.

Book Description
Being "Re-born" Spiritually Is Not the End-It's a Launching Point for New Lessons. This book is the fourth of the journals to chronicle the author's rebirth as a Third Degree High Priestess following her divorce and starting a new life, and it's her journey to reclaim the person she'd lost years before. This is her personal diary of the healing process and her public confession of all the things we worry about but usually don't say out loud. This is a book not of the Third Degree as an ending but as a launching point for new lessons and sometimes harsh growth. This...this is the Third Degree of Separation.

Book Description
Celebrated scientists Nicholas Christakis and James Fowler explain the amazing power of social networks and our profound influence on one another's lives. Your colleague's husband's sister can make you fat, even if you don't know her. A happy neighbor has more impact on your happiness than a happy spouse. These startling revelations of how much we truly influence one another are revealed in the studies of Dr. Christakis and Fowler, which have repeatedly made front-page news nationwide. In Connected, the authors explain why emotions are contagious, how health behaviors spread, why the rich get richer, even how we find and choose our partners. Intriguing and entertaining, Connected overturns the notion of the individual and provides a revolutionary paradigm-that social networks influence our ideas, emotions, health, relationships, behavior, politics, and much more. It will change the way we think about every aspect of our lives.

*Longlisted for the Swansea University Dylan Thomas prize 2021* *Shortlisted for the Jhalak Prize 2021: A 'tour-de-force'* *An Irish Times and Poetry School Book of the Year 2020* 'A day will come when you won't miss the country na nagluwal sa 'yo.' - 'Antiemetic for Homesickness' The poems in Romalyn Ante's luminous debut build a bridge between two worlds: journeying from the country 'na nagluwal sa 'yo' - that gave birth to you - to a new life in the United Kingdom. Steeped in the richness of Filipino folklore, and studded with Tagalog, these poems speak of the ache of assimilation and the complexities of belonging, telling the stories of generations of migrants who find exile through employment - through the voices of the mothers who leave and the children who are left behind. With dazzling formal dexterity and emotional resonance, this expansive debut offers a unique perspective on family, colonialism, homeland and heritage: from the countries we carry with us, to the places we call home. 'Moving, witty and agile' Observer 'By turns playful and tender, offering a formally-various exploration of migration, community, and nursing... there is honesty, musicality, a powerful heart' Irish Times
