EC note: These Regs. implement, for England, the following EC legislation: DIR 97/78/EC laying down the principles governing the organisation of veterinary checks on products entering the Community from third countries, and DEC 2002/349/EC laying down the list of products to be examined at border inspection posts under DIR 97/78/EC. The 2002 Decision also specifies the products to which the 1997 Directive applies. They also make provision for the use of the common veterinary entry introduced by document REG (EC) 136/2004 and include Andorra and San Marino in the definition of 'relevant territories' in line with REG 745/2004.
