Excerpt from Bulletin of Atlantic Christian College, Vol. 26: February, 1941; Announcements 1941-1942 The present national emergency demands that Atlantic Chris tian College devote all its resources to preparing its students to meet war conditions. During the second semester of the present year several changes have been made in an effort to render its services more effective, and other adjustments will be made as needs arise. Plans are now completed which will enable students who have graduated from high school to enter the College at the beginning of the Summer Session on June and by continuous attend ance complete the requirements for the A. B. Degree ln three years, prior to the time when they are most likely to be called for national service. This plan is made possible solely by the climi nation of the summer vacations, and no essential requirement for the degree will be omitted. Students who do not wish to accelerate the course in this way may enter in September and graduate in four years. The Summer Session will be an integral part of the College work to a much greater extent than heretofore and courses have been planned with a View to assisting students to meet the present emergency. Information of special interest to students who plan to enter the College in either June or September will be found on pages 17 to 23 and on pages 56 and 57 of this catalogue. A special bulletin describing the work of the Summer Session will be issued about April 1 and a copy of that will be sent to those who are interested. In addition to securing the information included in these bulletins, students who consider beginning their work in June should write now making any inquiry about the courses and plans for the summer. Prospective students will be required to make application for entrance on the regular forms used by the College. These blanks will be sent on request.
