Book Description
During the first dozen years of the twenty-first century, apocalyptic anticipation in America has leapt from the cultish to the mainstream. Today, nearly 60 percent of Americans believe that the events foretold in the book of Revelation will come true. But many secular readers also seem hungry for catastrophe and have propelled books about peak oil, global warming, and the end of civilization into bestsellers. How did we come to live in a culture obsessed by the belief that the end is near? The Last Myth explains why apocalyptic beliefs are surging within the American mainstream today. Demonstrating that our expectation of the end of the world is a surprisingly recent development in human thought, the book reveals the profound influence of apocalyptic thinking on America’s past, present, and future.

We allowed them to free us, and once we became strong again, we destroyed them. Where should we turn now? For five hundred years we have stood upon the might of our Imperium. Will we be able to contend against the might of gods? I fear the dark shadows that grows beneath the mountains, for our doom is fated by the deceit of our own pride. We stand alone. Book Description
The terrorism continues with no end in sight, over-population grows ever more serious, our natural resources are being depleted and corruption runs rampant. Will these problems ever be solved? The continuing events point to an impending breakdown of our civilization. The threat of a new world-wide plague, mass starvation, and nuclear war increases each year. No solution is in sight without an understanding of social evolutionary natural selection and how it has shaped world affairs throughout both history and prehistory. Only by learning how ideology shapes society is it possible to know what must happen in order for people to be active in the transition from the old into a new society and civilization. The author covers topics such as our primate small-group social behavior, the development of the matriarchal agricultural ideological system, the ideology involved in barbarism, and the rise of the patriarchal-monogamous ideologically based societies and their civilizations. Learn why the green revolution is falling behind, the biologically-related build-up of stress, and how lagging energy supplies will affect the world. Two of the last chapters lay out the structural make-up of every successful mainstream world-view ideological system. They use that to build a facsimile of what the core of such a new and advanced system would have to be like to succeed---a perpetual lack of which would ensure that this is indeed The Last Civilization because no other can follow without it.

Book Description
This book reveals that over the millennia the revealed knowledge has evolved in accordance with the advancement of the human civilization. Accordingly by the advent of the Prophet Muhammad, it has been updated for the rest of the humanity till end of the world. Hence the prophet Hood has reached its peak and Muhammad remains the seal of the prophets till end of the world. The knowledge of revelation, endowed to the mankind remains over and above to their knowledge acquired through the instincts and the intuition. The purpose of the revealed knowledge is that God wants His supreme creature to qualify for the righteous end, duly prescribed by Him. He has therefore provided us the syllabus, the text Books and the teachers. The last and final after the books of Torah and Gospel is the Quran and after the Prophets Moses and Jesus is the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon them all. Hence Islam is not a new religion, but the finalization of the Abrahams religion having the same purpose and the values meant by God through Judaism, Christianity and Islam. The author hopes that this book will work to bring all the three big nations, the Jews, Christians and the Muslim closer to each other quitting behind hatred hidden in their hearts and combine them together at the similar cause, that is obedience and supplication to the Gods Commandments and peace and love for the humanity leaving behind all the prejudices and hatred. May God, the Allah guide us for the right path, Amen.

Book Description
Death is the one subject about which our culture is still reticent. Consequently many ceremonies about death are not examined in an open, enquiring and direct way. The state funeral, that large, public, ritualized statement about death is accepted in our society, while its deeper significances remain unexamined because it is seen as something of an historical curiosity, a survival from an earlier age associated with the traditions of that society. This well-illustrated study of a number of state funerals - of the Medicis and the Habsburgs in the Renaissance, of the Duke of Albemarle in the seventeenth century, of the Duke of Wellington and Abraham Lincoln in the nineteenth century, and of President Kennedy and Diana, Princess of Wales in the twentieth century - and the mythical structures and traditions they represent, examines two aspects in particular: the strongly political undertones of the public statements, and the theatrical elements of the public ritual.

Illumining Isocrates' effort to reformulate sophistic conceptions of rhetoric on the basis of the intellectual and political debates of his time, Poulakos contends that the father of humanistic studies and rival educator of Plato crafted a version of rhetoric that gave the art an important new role in the ethical and political activities of Athens.

Book Description
This important new book places Carl Schmitt’s critique of liberal political theory in a broader historical context than is usually done. His belief in the centrality of the European state since the seventeenth century derives from various sources, including medieval (Scholastic) theology and nineteenth century (post-Hegelian) social and political theory. Schmitt’s famed ‘political theology’ aims at justifying the necessity of a strong secular state as the safeguard of a political community against the encroachment of legally protected interest groups that shield themselves behind pre-political rights. William Rasch neither condemns nor champions Schmitt’s various attacks on liberalism, but does insist that the tension between ‘society’ as the realm of individual rights to pursue private pleasures and the ‘state’ as the placeholder for something traditionally called the common good is a conundrum that is as important now as it was during the Weimar era in Germany. Reappraisal of some of the pillars of liberal dogma are as much in order as are fears of their demise.
