Major General G.D.Bakshi, SM, VSM is a graduate of the National Defence Academy. He did his schooling from St. Aloysius School, Jabalpur. Gen., subsequently commanded Romeo Force in intensive counter Terrorist operations in the most active Rajouri-Poonch Sector. He is currently teaching at the National Defence College at New Delhi. The central theme of this book is the assertion that there is an historic Indian Strategic Culture and today we need to rediscover these historical roots of our military inheritance.
