In 1758 they and their two sons moved to Anne Arundel County, Maryland. By 1765 their family had grown to include three daughters. At this time they purchased a 373 acre farm in Frederick County, Maryland. They named their farm "Spring Garden" They lived on this farm for the rest of their life and the farm remains in the Stoner family to this day. Descendants, chiefly of their grandson Jacob Stoner (1781-1836) live in Maryland, Virginia, Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio and elsewhere.
