He and his wife, Mary Elizabeth, had at least six children, ca. 1745-before 1760. John Jacob and Mary Elizabeth Byerly are buried at the Beck's Church Cemetry, Rowan County, North Carolina. Descendants lived in North Carolina, Illinois, Indiana and elsewhere.
