Book Description
I came out of the womb already on fire from the homophobic hell of the Southern Baptist Church. Their Savior said 'Love Your Neighbor' yet they hated me for expressing my love? My childhood was how sinful I am, what pills to swallow, how ashamed I made my father. My honorable judge father lol, he beat me, belittled me, sent me to Gay-to-Straight Christian Conversion Camps where I was mole...whoa, we're just meeting each other, sorry.Senior year daddy dearest said "stop being queer, attend my Alma Mater, join my frat or be homeless!" Deeply desiring a family, I caved. Yeah, I still hate me for it too. I entered the University of Alabama as the role my father cast but no amount of beer bongs turned off my inner truth so I turned to Jesus. The more I learned the more I wanted to heal the sick, feed the poor, embody his message. So on my 21st instead of beers with bros, I drove home to give Dad my truth. I thought since Jesus inspired me he'd understand instead he strangled me, said if I come back he'd finish the job. I still hear mom screaming 'look what you made him do...'WTF am I doing? You don't care about me. You only care about getting retweets and subscribers on fucking Youtube. You don't care that I was locked in a mental institution for no reason and break out to find my partner cheating, my job firing me, and becoming homeless. You don't care about the trauma beat into my childhood. You don't care about what's keeping you from embodying your deepest truth. Fuck, I'm sorry, you're not supposed too. That's my job. That's why I wrote this. The Bisexual Christian Suburban Failure Enlightening Bipolar Blues is me confronting my trauma and changing it so I can embody who I am so I can help change this fucking stupid disconnected beautiful world!

Book Description
“A fast-paced debut… A candid, modern take on polyamory for fans of memoirs and graphic novels, and anyone interested in stories of dating, love, and romance.” —Library Journal After trying for years to emulate her boomer parents’ forty-year and still-going-strong marriage, Sophie realized that maybe the love she was looking for was down a road less traveled. In this bold, graphic memoir, she explores her sexuality, her values, and the versions of love our society accepts and practices. Along the way, she shares what it’s like to play on Tinder side-by-side with your boyfriend, encounter—and surmount—many types of jealousy, learn the power of female friendship, and other amazing things that happened when she stopped looking for “the one.” In a lot of ways, Many Love is Sophie’s love letter to everyone she has ever cared for. Witty, insightful, and complete with illustrations, this debut provides a memorable glimpse into an unconventional life.

Book Description
This collection explores the centrality of The Who’s classic album, and Franc Roddam’s cult classic film of adolescent life, Quadrophenia to the recent cultural history of Britain, to British subcultural studies, and to a continuing fascination with Mod style and culture. The interdisciplinary chapters collected here set the album and film amongst critical contexts including gender and sexuality studies, class analysis, and the film and album’s urban geographies, seeing Quadrophenia as a transatlantic phenomenon and as a perennial adolescent story. Contributors view Quadrophenia through a variety of lenses, including the Who’s history and reception, the 1970s English political and social landscape, the adolescent novel of development (the bildungsroman), the perception of the film through the eyes of Mods and Mod revivalists, 1970s socialist politics, punk, glam, sharp suits, scooters and the Brighton train, arguing for the continuing richness of Quadrophenia’s depiction of the adolescent dilemma. The volume includes new interviews with Franc Roddam, director of Quadrophenia, and the photographer Ethan Russell, who took the photos for the album’s famous photo booklet.
