This report describes & presents results of a survey of Alberta employers conducted to learn about the following: their awareness & understanding of their rights & responsibilities under provincial human rights legislation; their experiences with human rights in the workplace; and the types of resources, programs, or services they are currently using or that would be helpful in preventing discrimination & in building inclusive workplaces. The first section contains the findings of a literature review & focus groups that provided some provincial & national context to the issues under consideration and identified current practices in human rights information dissemination & assistance to employers. The second section provides results of a telephone survey administered to a random sample of 562 Alberta employers.
