Book Description
The Accidental Houseguest takes a satirical and mocking look at the IRS, FBI, DEA, gangsters, bouncers and the Miami fl amboyant lifestyle. Gerald Owen is the former President of WarmBodyJobs.com, an Internet Job Board for the unemployable, whose slogan was 'Where Second Best Is Just Too Good.' The company enjoys great success until Gerald's partner, Marty, embezzles the company's tax money to enjoy a lavish retirement in a nonextraditable island. The IRS is less than pleased. They close down the company and prosecute the unwitting Gerald. To avoid an inevitable long prison sentence, Gerald decides to commit suicide and spend his last three days as a fugitive in Miami. He boards an earlier plane by switching airline tickets with an undercover DEA agent, Arnold Puffin, whom he found lying unconscious in the men's restroom. Arriving at Miami International Airport, Gerald is mistaken for Arnold Puffin and chauffeured to the Golden Beach mansion of Vincent Campari, a reputed mafia chief. Puffin had been invited to stay as a guest of Vincent's daughter, who, fortuitously, is stuck in Paris due to a silly airline strike. Meanwhile, DEA agents, who have been staking out Vincent's mansion from a rundown house across the street, are delighted in the belief that their secret agent has penetrated the Campari bastion. Assuming his new identity, Gerald stays with the dysfunctional Campari family. With only three planned days to live, Gerald becomes invincible as he enjoys sexual favors while facing untold attempts on his life.

Book Description
The survival manual for Coping with Constant Company, THE ACCIDENTAL HOSTESS! Written by four Florida residents, this light-hearted book is both helpful and hilarious. Its suggestions cover visits from family, dear friends, drop-ins, and that most dreaded of company life forms, Spring Breakers. It includes menus and recipes (each exhaustingly tested by a discriminating panel of house guests) suitable for each of these categories. Written in Florida, by Floridians, about Florida entertaining, it should be required reading for residents, tourists and anyone who shares the writers' special love for this special state. THE ACCIDENTAL HOSTESS includes: * Light-hearted, humorous prose about how to keep your sanity during our seasonal influx of out of town company. * Suggestions on how to categorize and prioritize your guests (family, dear friends, drop-ins and spring breakers) and entertain them accordingly. * Menus and tested recipes appropriate for each category of guests, specializing in light, fresh Florida cuisine. * A comprehensive index to insure ease-of-use. "The book is an absolute delight...easy to read, funny and of real practical value. As you know, I am an expert at cookbooks. I've written one, read many and have traveled all over the world trying out new ideas. Your book is one of the best I've ever seen. It should be read by everyone."--Willard Scott, NBC News. "With HUMOR, this new book discusses how to cope with unexpected guests and other visiting emergencies. Unarguable appeal? And how!"--Edith Brin, The Milwaukee Journal. "The fast selling book, THE ACCIDENTAL HOSTESS, is a how-to guide to being a hostess (or host) in a popular tourist destination...it mixes humor with practical advice for keeping your life in balance once house guests arrive."--Ad Hudler, Ft. Meyers News Press. "I have used this book a lot...I particularly like their philosophy, 'When the going gets rough, lower your standards.'"-Paul Hamilton, Oakland Tribune

Book Description
When I said I wanted an adventure, maybe I should’ve been a bit clearer… See, I imaged a Harry Potter or Disney-style adventure. You know, the kind that comes with plenty of fun, romance, and the promise of a happy ending. Instead, my adventure is looking like something out of Game of Thrones. My Shade-filled dreams have been replaced with a recurring nightmare, and there’s a random Banshee seemingly haunting mine and Willa’s house. Just when I think nothing else could happen, Shade literally drops through my roof with not-so-good news. The King Collector is here. And it turns out, this time, he’s coming for Willa and me… Gentlemen Prefer Broomsticks is the third book in the brand new series: Accidentally Magical at Midlife? from author Melinda Chase.
