His second marriage was to Rhoda Stephens (1789-1868) in 1812 in South Carolina. He died on Oct. 6, 1832 in Habersham Co., Georgia, where he had lived since 1820. Descendants live in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, California and elsewhere.
