The first item is a sworn statement from the jailer of Hancock County (Georgia) testifying that he surrendered the prisoner, Hodge, to the sheriff of Greene County (Georgia). A number of signed statements follow that attest to the identity of the jailer. The second item is a sworn statement from two witnesses who testify that Hodge stole a horse from an Indian named Richard Fendleton. This second statement was given before three Justices of the Peace in Greene County (Georgia).
