The aim of this review is to summarize the available evidence concerning the clinical effectiveness measured by longevity and the costs-effectiveness of PFM and all-ceramic crowns to support reimbursement decisions. [...] The position of the crown in the mouth did not significantly alter the survival of metal-ceramic crowns or all-ceramic crowns made out of leucite or lithium-disilicate, densely sintered alumina, or glass-infiltrated alumina.
