Kinetics of the isotopic exchange of chloride in cholro-(diethylenetriamine)platinum(II) chloride has been studied using chlorine-36 as the tracer, employing an ion exchange quenching technique and activity determination by a liquid scintillation system. The aquation equilibrium constant was determined by means of titrations of the acidic proton on the H$sub 2$0 ligand formed according to the reaction: [Pt(dien)Cl$sup +$] + H$sub 2$0 = [Pt(dien)H$sub 2$0$sup 2+$] + Cl$sup -$; K$sub eq.$ (author).
