The propellers used for the tests were 10 feet in diameter and were made up of blades of Hamilton Standard design, drawing numbers 3155-6 and 3155-6-1.5. The characteristics were investigated over a considerable range of solidity for single- and dual-rotating propellers. Blade angle settings ranged from 10 to 40 degrees in 5 degree increments.
