Ancestors and descendants of John Junk (1881-1946), son of Peter Junk and Katherine Schmitz, who was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He married 1904 Ellen Kintz (1882-1949), daughter of William E. Kintz and Rosella Peters. She was born in Decatur, Indiana. They were parents of fourteen children. The Kintz family originated from Alsace, France. Lewis Kintz (1818-1888) was born in Adams Co., Pa., and died in Seneca Co., Ohio. He married Elizabeth Kuhn (1816-1905) born in Westmoreland Co., Pa. Peter Junk (1839-1900), son of John and Anna Krisam Junk originally of Holland, was born in the village of Klusserath, West Germany. He married Katherine Schmitz and in 1875 they immigrated to America. Family settled on a farm west of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
