"Documents the expected effects of managing nine wilderness study areas (WSAs) as wilderness or nonwilderness. These WSAs range in size from 40 acres to 4,265 acres. They were deleted from the wilderness study process in 1982 by Secretary of the Interior, along with all other WSAs under 5,000 acres...in 1985, a U.S. District Court decision reinstated these small units as WSAs.
