The title of this book was inspired by F. Scott Fitzgerald's, "Tales from The Jazz Age." Simply because when I think about the 1920s, and I think about now, the age that I am forced to spend out my days, in this Age of Garbage, surrounded by the mentally retarded majority is an utter nightmare, at least for the world of literature, fashion, art, and theatre, yep, the culture is gone. Dead. All we have nowadays is boring race riots of crybaby liberals vs inbred redneck's vs the angry blacks vs the PTA who are all the wives of the NSA anyway - so there you have it. I don't know what genre my writing fits into, but I would say that I am most inspired and influenced by the writing style within the stories of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Mark Twain, Aldous Huxley, Ian Fleming, & Flannery O'Connor. I also admire these science fiction writers of the past for their understanding of plot, pacing, punctuation, and prophesy being, Jules Verne, Robert Louis Stevenson, H.G. Wells, Robert E. Howard, Arthur C. Clark, Philip K. Dick, Mary Shelley & of course without a doubt, the greatest sci-fi wizard of them all - - Charles Beaumont, whose death seemed straight out of an original episode of The Twilight Zone. I guess this collection of these six short stories of mine would be classified as early 1950's sci-fi, yet it's very subtle, you have to pay particular attention. If I were to guess I'd bet all my money (which ain't much) that a few of the science fiction writers of the 1950s knew that something was dreadfully wrong and that there was some deep well-hidden secret in our society, which is never to be exposed because the TRUTH is something that happened after WWII, and it is something so dark & haunting, that only the top twelve guys at NASA knew what was actually going on after arriving at Fort Bliss as part of Operation Paperclip. "We the People" must be kept in the dark, so as to maintain order in this Disneyland in which we are forced to spend our lives, in this 'trap', our only escape is to daydream, and speculate because the fact that we are insignificant in an infinite universe is far too frightening for those with IQs under 140. That means that roughly only 1 person in every 261 morons has an inkling of a clue. Yep. I always wondered why plays get a Dramatis Personae while Novels and Short Stories do not? Why? I mean every frigging book I read; I must use a darn flashcard to write down the name of every stupid character so that I am able to keep track of who's who. So, I decided that is exactly what I have done for you: the reader. I mean seriously, why not? It's like writers think that if people see who is in their little dorky short story, then it somehow spoils the plot. So, lame. Besides nowadays, everyone uses CliffsNotes anyway, so I'm just giving you the character list, in advance, because I'm cool like that. Anyway, I have put these six stories altogether and tightened up the plots, and now it's finally done like a finely aged wine, such as a 1988 1.5 liter of Carlo Rossi Sangria, and now, it's ready to be consumed like a boss and chugged straight out of the jug at the Summer Solstice party.
