Book Description
A man entering an industry soon finds that most of the products manufactured by his company are not synthetic or definite chemical compounds, but are mixtures, blends or highly complex compounds of which he knows little or nothing. The literature in this field, if any, may be meager, scattered or antiquated. Formulation is a key process in the overall life cycle so that products are delivered that is of the right quality, at a competitive cost, and is made available within the specified time scale. A formula is an entity constructed using the symbols and formation rules of a given logical language. In science, a specific formula is a concise way of expressing information symbolically as in a mathematical or chemical formula. The chemical formula identifies each constituent element by its chemical symbol and indicates the number of atoms of each element found in each discrete molecule of that compound. If a molecule contains more than one atom of a particular element, this quantity is indicated using a subscript after the chemical symbol and also can be combined by more chemical elements. It is all in the formula, whose implications also remain undiscovered by modern economists. It plays a major role in every process whether it is manufacturing process or preservation. There is a big importance of formula in our life because formulas and equations deal with everyday things like shapes, investments, mixing things, movement, lighting, travel and a host of other things they provide information you can use in planning activities. This book basically deals with the extracting oil from cottonseed, silver nitrate test for cottonseed oil, solid linseed oil, decolorizing or bleaching linseed oil, linseed oil for varnish making, refining linseed oil, mineral oil, leather stuffing grease, leather adhesion grease, liquid belting lubricant, belt adhesion compounds, belt preserving grease, government harness dressing, rubber belt dressing (non static), wire drawing lubricant, wire drawing composition, metal drawing lubricant, cold drawing metal lubricant, drawing compound for aluminum, brass drawing lubricating emulsion, sheet steel drawing lubricant, non seizing threads and gaskets, machine tool lubricant, slushing oil for metal protection horse shoe grease etc. This book is an invaluable resource of the formulae of petroleum, lubricants, fats, polishes, glass, ceramics, nitrogenous fertilizers, emulsions, leather and insecticides. This book present several hundred advanced product formulations for household, industrial and other applications. The purpose of publishing this book is very useful for chemists, entrepreneurs, existing units, technocrats and engineering students. TAGS Formulas of Petroleum Jellies and Solidified Lubricants, Wagon and Axle Greases, Formulae of Ointments, Lubricating Greases, Non-Separating, Formulas of Watch and Chronometers Oils, Formulae of Core Oils, Formulation of Fish Liver Oils, Manufacture of Cup Grease By Pressure Cooking, Formulation of Soluble Oils, Formulation of Polishes and Abrasive, Formulas of Water Resistant Floor Emulsion Polish, Formulation of Floor Polish Powder, Formulas of French Polishing, White Shoe Cleaner Formulation, Formulas of White Leather Polish, Formulae of Automobile Polish, Formulation of Materials for Construction, Manufacture of Water Proofing Cement, Formulae of Modern Flame Proofing, Formulas of Acetylene Welding, Formulas of Atomic Hydrogen Welding, Formulation of Drawing and Forming, Formulation of Buffing Wheels, Formulation of Silver Soldering, Formulas of Ceramics and Glass, Leather, Formulas of Leather Bleaching, Formulation of Petroleum Refinery Process, Petroleum Products, Formulas of Motor Fuels, Formulas of Heating and Illuminating Oils, Formulation of Petroleum Waxes, Petroleum Asphalt, Formulation of Nitrogenous Fertilizers, Formulae Pyrotechnics and Explosives, Formulas of Ammonium Phosphates and Ammonium Polyphosphates, Manufacturing Process of Ammonium Phosphates, Processing of Urea and Urea form, Manufacture of Ordinary Superphosphate, Formulation of Emulsion, Formulae of Dispersions and Foams, Oil Emulsion, Formulation of Wax Emulsion, Formulation of Insecticides, Formulation of Fungicides and Weeds Killers, Ammonium Phosphates Manufacturing, Water Proofing Cement Manufacturing, Ordinary Superphosphate Manufacturing, Formulation of Fats, Formulas of Polishes, Formulae of Abrasive, Formulation of Leather, Formulation of Nitrogenous Fertilizers, Formulae of Insecticides, Automotive Lubrication, Cold Liver Oil, Formulae of Skin Ointment, Stopcock Grease, Rope Lubricant, Belting Oil, Cock Grease, Car-Gear Lubricant, Rifle Oil, Ceramic Mold Lubricant, Non-Corrosive Cutting Oil, Vacuum Tap Grease, Auto Polish, Automobile Polish, Furniture Finishing Oil, Floor Finish, Stove Polish, Window Polish, Automobile Cleansers, Tripoli Buffing Stick, Oven Frame Polish, Viscous Oily Liquid, Oven Polish, Colored Floor Polish, Tropical Shoe Creams, No-Rub Floor Polishes, Paste Floor Wax, Liquid Floor Wax, Wax Polishes for Wood, Polish for Cord, Polish for Metals, Clear Wax, Frosting Glass, Glass Etching Resist, Bright Blue Glass, Laminated (Safety) Glass, Photoluminescent Glass, Artificial Marble, Modelling Clay, Vitreous Enamel, Removing Porcelain Enamel, Electrical Range Enamel, Coloring Roofing Granules, Dental Plaster Accelerator, Plaster Molds for Roofing Tile, Acoustical Plaster, Spark Plug Insulator, Rot and Insect Proof Fiber Board, Waterproofing Cork, Fireproofing for Wood and Textiles, Bronze Tablets, Die Casting Alloy, Bearing Metal Alloys, Electrical Contact Alloy, Copper-Base Alloy, Dental Amalgamating Alloy, Spot and Line Welding, Flash Welding, Pickling Metals, Brightening Aluminum, Flux for Welding Zinc, Welding Rod, Hot Tinning of Copper, Overspray Glazes, Solder Glass, Single-Application Textured Glazes, Antiseptic Leather, Cocoa Butter Emulsion, Acrawax C Emulsion, Soluble Pine Oils, DDT Insecticide, Silicone Insect Repellent Emulsion, Grape-Vine Fungicide, Citrus Fruit Fungicide, Grain Fumigant, Aerosol Cattle Fly Spray, Nonflammable Fumigant

Book Description
Ceramics also known as fire clay is an inorganic, non-metallic solid article, which is produced by the art or technique of heat and subsequent cooling. The ceramics industry in India came into existence about a century ago and has matured over time to form an industrial base. From traditional pottery making, the industry has evolved to find its place in the market for sophisticated insulators, electronic and electrical items. The ceramic industry has been modernizing continuously, by newer innovations in product design, quality etc. Glass is an inorganic product typically produced by melting a mixture of silica, soda and calcium compound with desired metallic oxides that serves as coloring agents. Indian glass industry will increase on the sidelines of real estate growth across retail, residential and office estate. Glass production involves the fusion of several inorganic substances. These various substances include products such as silica sand, soda ash, dolomite and limestone, representing together 99% of all the raw materials, excluding recycled glass. Glass-ceramics are mostly produced in two steps: First, a glass is formed by a glass-manufacturing process. The glass is cooled down and is then reheated in a second step. In this heat treatment the glass partly crystallizes. In most cases nucleation agents are added to the base composition of the glass-ceramic. These nucleation agents aid and control the crystallization process. Glass-ceramics are fine-grained polycrystalline materials formed when glasses of suitable compositions are heat treated and thus undergo controlled crystallization to the lower energy, crystalline state. It is important to emphasize a number of points in this statement on glass ceramics.Glass ceramics has helped the electronics industry build much smaller and highly efficient transistors, leading to advances in all types of devices. The book covers almost all important aspects of Glass and Ceramic Industry: Properties, Applications, Manufacturing, Processing and Photographs of Plant &Machinery with Supplier’s Contact Details. The major contents of the book are types of glasses, silicate glasses, boric oxide and borate glasses, phosphorus pentoxide and phosphate glasses, germanium dioxide and germanate glasses, titanate glasses, nitrate glasses, glasses based on water, halide glasses, modern glass working, monax and pyrex glass, electric welding, photo electric cells, glassy metals, analysis of glass, glass ceramics, ceramics as electrical materials, analysis of ceramics etc. The book will be useful to the consultants, technocrats, research scholars, libraries and existing units and new entrepreneurswho will find a good base to work further in this field.

Ginger is the common name for Zingiber officinale, which was originally cultivated in China and now equally spread around the world. Ginger is a herb but is often known as a spice, with a strong distinct flavor that can increase the production of saliva. The part that is used as spice on the plant itself is the rhizomes or ginger root. This ginger root is traditionally used with sweet foods in Western cuisine being included in popular recipes such as ginger ale, gingerbread, ginger biscuits and ginger cake. It is also used in many countries as a medicinal ingredient which many believe in. Historically, ginger has a long tradition of being very effective in alleviating symptoms of gastrointestinal distress. In herbal medicine, ginger is regarded as an excellent carminative and intestinal spasmolytic. Modern scientific research has revealed that ginger possesses numerous therapeutic properties including antioxidant effects, an ability to inhibit the formation of inflammatory compounds, and direct anti-inflammatory effects. India is the leading producer of ginger oil and dominates the ginger oil market with almost half shares out of total market. China is also known for ginger production and trade of ginger oil. Asia Pacific mainly exports ginger oil to North America and European markets. Increasing number of health conscious consumers, and their demands for natural oils and extracts based products is the major factor driving growth for essential oils and in turn ginger oil market. Book Description
Coal is the product of plants, mainly trees that died tens or hundreds of millions of years ago. Coal is a fossil fuel and is the altered remains of prehistoric vegetation that originally accumulated in swamps and peat bogs. The energy we get from coal today comes from the energy that plants absorbed from the sun millions of years ago. Coal is used primarily as an energy source, either for heat or electricity. It was once heavily used to heat homes and power locomotives and factories. Bituminous coal is also used to produce coke for making steel and other industrial process heating. Lignin is a constituent of the cell walls of almost all dry land plant cell walls. It is the second most abundant natural polymer in the world, surpassed only by cellulose. Lignin is found in all vascular plants, mostly between the cells, but also within the cells, and in the cell walls. Wood is an aggregate of cells essentially cellulose in composition, which are cemented together by a substance called lignin. The cells are made of three substances called cellulose (about 50 percent), lignin (which makes up a fifth to a quarter of hardwoods but a quarter to a third of softwoods), and hemicellulose. Rosin refers to an extraction process that utilizes a combination of heat and pressure to nearly instantaneously squeeze resinous sap from your initial starting material In India's energy sector, coal accounts for the majority of primary commercial energy supply. With the economy poised to grow at the rate of 8-10% per annum, energy requirements will also rise at a reasonable level. The Indian coal industry aspires to reach the 1.5 billion tonne (BT) mark by FY 2020. In fore-coming years, the industry will naturally need to focus on building on the success, and be on track for reaching the FY 2020 goal. One of the primary goals of the Government of India is to ensure that it is able to meet the country's power generation needs. Another aim is to lower the country's reliance on coal imports by boosting the coal production quickly. The Major contents of the book are Coal, Analysis of Coal and Coke, Cotton, Lignin and Hemicelluloses, Degradation of Wood, CCA-Treated Wood, Wood-Polymer Composites, Lignocellulosic-Plastic Composites from Recycled Materials, Chemical Modification of Wood Fiber, Delignification of Wood with Pernitric Acid, Rosin and Rosin Derivatives, Polymerizable Half Esters of Rosin and Photographs of Plant & Machinery with Supplier’s Contact Details. It will be a standard reference book for professionals, entrepreneurs, those studying and researching in this important area and others interested in the field of these industries.
