Family of James Charlie Sanders (1916-1985), son of Oglethorpe (Bud) Sanders and Eva Mae Baston, who was born in Coffee, Ala., and died in Jackson, Hinds Co., Mississippi. He was married to Ruby Elizabeth Hall (b. 1922), daughter of Lee Jackson Hall and Nellie Irene Mauldin, in 1936 in Anguilla, Sharkey Co., Mississippi. She was born in Silver City, Mississippi. The earliest known ancestor, Jeremiah Sanders, was born ca. 1815 in Putnam Co., Ga., a son of Nancy Sanders. He died in Pike Co., Ala. He married (1) Martha Smith in 1844 in Washington Co., Ga.; (2) 1865 Cynthia Jane Calahan (b. 1839). The early Hall ancestors were: William Hall (b. ca. 1790), who married Delilah Wheeler (b. ca. 1800) 1814 in Clarke Co., Ga., and Uriah Hall (ca. 1794-bef. 1860) of Maryland, and died in Choctaw Co., Mississippi. He married 1814 in Jackson Co., Ga., Cynthia Ward (b. ca. 1800).
