Now 10 years into his rule the country developed into a centre of science and technology and men and women are encouraged to study and seek a career or if the girls prefer live in seclusion as wives and mothers in the households of their husbands. The Sheikh is very popular with his people who love the way he steered them towards a modern future without forgetting their traditions and their past.Lisbeth however thinks she as a foreigner does not have to cover herself when teaching as an expat professor and writes that to the dean of the university declaring it is her own civil rights to live like she wants to. To her shock that letter is forwarded to Sheikh Fuad himself who writes her an arrogant reply that if she does not like living in his country under his rules she is free to leave.So when Lisbeth and the Sheikh meet at a formal do at the British embassy she thinks he is a very handsome man but an arrogant bastard and his look of disdain towards her does not help either. He on the other hand thinks her a woman who does not know her place, who is a the kind of feminist who thinks she does not need a husband and is the typical Western floozy showing off way too much skin. Nevertheless he would not object having this beauty in his bed.Then a few weeks later to his horror he finds out she is part of a bomb plot to murder his children and those of other governmental dignitaries hoping thus to destabilise his country. With overwhelming evidence present her future looks bleak. Fuming with rage for him the death penalty seems a too easy way out for this woman. So he offers her an alternative: to be his personal slave in his harem.What will he do to her? Will she be able to adjust to a life of obedience and sensuality? Or will their pride and prejudice be an obstacle that cannot be overcome?A steaming novel about forgiveness, cultural diversity and love set in the highly sexually charged setting of a harem.This is a book for a mature 18+ audience and contains explicit bed scenes between one woman and her lord.
