This publication contains guidance on the planning and design of facilities for rehabilitation services provided within acute general hospitals, as well as in a range of community settings. Stroke is a leading cause of disability among adults of all ages, contributing significantly to health care costs related to long term implications, particularly if rehabilitation is sub-optimal.
