This book that has been authored by members of the Syriac(n) Orthodox Community strives to provide an insight and brief historical background on the Syriac(n) Orthodox Church, its dogma, and language. This was done through the provision of one of the major stories derived from an old Syriac manuscript that has not been translated into English before. The authors examine what is being called "The Forgotten Genocide". This specific genocide affected the original inhabitants of the land of Mesopotamia (Syriacs/Arameans). These Syriacs/Arameans were faced and continue to face diverse types of persecutions. In this book, the authors shall first explore the events that took place leading to the main Genocide of 1915, which is also known as the "Syriac Genocide" (SAYFO/SEPA/SWORD ?, or what has been dubbed as "The Forgotten Genocide"). This book will endeavour to bring to light a historical account of the ancient people of Mesopotamia, leading to the events that resulted in the several persecutions of these people, specifically during the Genocide of 1915. The authors derived from diverse sources, including some ancient rare manuscripts that have not been translated into English from Syriac/Aramaic; these will be supported by evidence derived from some of what has been translated into English, including personal accounts. The significance of this lies in the fact that the empirical evidence, including the population at the time the number of those who were forced to convert and the number of those who were killed at the time, will allow the recognition of this Syriac/Aramaic Genocide.This book commences with a brief historical background on the origin of Christianity in this region and the historical background of the Syriac(n) Orthodox Church, leading to an explanation of the atrocities at the hands of the Ottoman Empire, providing a backdrop for the understanding of the context at the time, and concluding with some insights of the latest atrocities against the same people in parts of the Middle East. These are actions taken by patriarchs and people to face such ongoing atrocities.

Issa (i.e., Their Dad) was and continues to be to record entries in his diary prior to and following any activity or a visit undertaken by him, or a visit to his residence by others and/or a significant historical event that might take place around the world. Though the Issa siblings do not have the habit of going through their father's diary, but he gave them the authority to do so. This permission was given when the Issa siblings, the compilers/researchers of this book, undertook another project; in 2017, the publication of another book under the title: "Readings in the 20th Century Genocide of the Syriac Orthodox Church of Antioch (Sayfo)". Then and there the Issa siblings we took refuge in this diary to record the historical events, including the recent 21st century persecution of Christians, from which members of Fr. Issa's family who were uprooted from their village 'Bartleh' overnight prior to the attacks on the village, and other events that took place in Bartleh, Mesopotamia in 2014. Now, the Issa siblings have gone back to this three-volume diary to be informed and enlightened in preparation of their research for this book.

The Armenian genocide of 1915 has been well documented. Much less known is the Turkish genocide of the Assyrian, Chaldean and Syriac peoples, which occurred simultaneously in their ancient homelands in and around ancient Mesopotamia - now Turkey, Iran and Iraq. The book presents a mixed research method adopted to assess and present the Toyota Way practices within construction firms in general and for firms in China specifically. The results of an extensive structured questionnaire survey based on the Toyota Way-styled attributes identified were developed and data collected from building professionals working in construction firms is presented. The quantitative data presented in the book explains the status quo of the Toyota Way-styled practices implemented in the construction industry, as well as the extent to which these attributes were perceived for lean construction management. The book highlights all the actionable attributes derived from the Toyota Way model appreciated by the building professionals, but alerts the readers that some attributes felled short of implementation. Further findings from in-depth interviews and case studies are also presented in the book to provide to readers an understanding how these Toyota Way practices can be implemented in real-life projects. Collectively, all the empirical findings presented in this book can serve to enhance understanding of Toyota Way practices in the lean construction management context. The readers are then guided through to understand the gaps between actual practice and Toyota Way-styled practices, and the measures that they may undertake to circumvent the challenges for implementation. The book also presents to readers the SWOT analysis that addresses the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats towards the implementation of the Toyota Way in the construction industry. The book prescribes the Toyota Way model for use in construction firms to strategically implement lean construction management.
