The present Editor undertook to prepare the work for the press in the first instance, but was prevented by other duties from carrying it through at that time, and the editing was trans ferred to the hands of one of our members, since dead. Owing to the divided responsibility some misprints have occurred in the text, mainly because of the great similarity between certain letters in the ms.
