Existe un creciente interés en cerrar la brecha energética que existe a nivel mundial. El séptimo Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible propuesto por la ONU, estableció que debe haber energía limpia y asequible para todos. Por lo tanto, la planificación y el trabajo para el acceso universal a los servicios energéticos, más específicamente a los servicios energéticos modernos, que incluyen la generación de energía por fuentes renovables, deben comenzar por estudiar las posibilidades de hacer que estos proyectos sean sólidos y sostenibles. Para construir un sistema de energía robusto, se necesita un sistema de gestión de energía. Este sistema permite el seguimiento de las variables y condiciones del sistema eléctrico, por lo tanto, el EMS puede tomar decisiones sobre el funcionamiento de ciertos elementos en el sistema eléctrico. De hecho, el pronóstico de carga ofrece la posibilidad de hacer que la electrificación rural sea lo más robusta posible. Porque al predecir el consumo de energía, el sistema puede tener en cuenta los cambios en la generación o en el consumo, para mantener la eficiencia y abastecer la demanda de energía todo el tiempo. Esta tesis de pregrado propone la implementación de una red neuronal para el pronóstico de carga, teniendo en cuenta el caso de estudio: una microrred ubicada en una región del norte de Chile, conocida como Huatacondo. A través de este trabajo se discutirá la utilidad del proyecto para el sistema energético colombiano.

Based on twenty case studies of universities worldwide, and on a survey administered to leaders in 101 universities, this open access book shows that, amidst the significant challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, universities found ways to engage with schools to support them in sustaining educational opportunity. In doing so, they generated considerable innovation, which reinforced the integration of the research and outreach functions of the university. The evidence suggests that universities are indeed open systems, in interaction with their environment, able to discover changes that can influence them and to change in response to those changes. They are also able, in the success of their efforts to mitigate the educational impact of the pandemic, to create better futures, as the result of the innovations they can generate. This challenges the view of universities as "ivory towers" being isolated from the surrounding environment and detached from local problems. As they reached out to schools, universities not only generated clear and valuable innovations to sustain educational opportunity and to improve it, this process also contributed to transform internal university processes in ways that enhanced their own ability to deliver on the third mission of outreach
