Excerpt from Prayers and Offices of Devotion for Families and for Particular Persons, Upon Most Occasions I name no morning and evening praye particular pericus, becaufe here are fo r occafional prayers, whereof every one take their choice from time to time, for vate ufe, according to particular exigenc and befides, thofe for families may as fitly for.the clofet, changing but the plural nu into the fingular. I have not directed to clude the evening devotions with the I Prayer not becaufe I count it improp that time to be uled, but becaufe I thin have dill a liberty of adding or omittin and therefore I have pointed to it for one of the day, and left it out in the other they that are for it, as an appendage to a] prayers ufed in their houfes, may make if they pleafe, notwithflanding that I 1hr fome of the family prayers without it. I 1 no difiinelion neither of ordinary days underitand not why the prayer that fervr Monday or Tuefday, firould not be as and proper for any other day of the week I have offered fome variety, that you take fometimes one form, and fometimes ther; or fome part of this form and fon that, as you fee occafion, and {ball judge pertinent.
