Book Description
The author used some of his newly created poems in this book, alternating them with Prose in the form of thoughts, memories, reflections, and fanciful extrapolations. Some of those segments dealt with memories and autobiographical episodes. Other parts represent the author’s philosophical reactions to works on scientific topics he read, mostly in the fields of Physics and cosmology. Interspersed are elements of subjects relating to the lore reflected in theological currents and religious beliefs he encountered in his earlier life. His thoughts are presented in the theses he advances but are often meant in a “tongue-in-cheek” mode.

Book Description
As the title indicates, this is the second volume to Poems, Visions, Reflections, which is titled IMPRESSIONS in PROSE and VERSE. Like its predecessor, the book includes a number of poems that accompany the main substance of the book. The prose is a combination of flashbacks to the author’s post-war university years in Germany based on the diaries he kept during that time. The author engages in some remarks he titles “philosophical-ethical sketches,” numbered I to VI. The main text deals with some of his ideas regarding the fields of sciences such as physics and cosmology along with his own position regarding those which he calls “transcendental,” all of it wrapped in his usual tongue-in-cheek mode of writing.

Book Description
In "Visions of Reflection," embark on a poetic journey to explore the multifaceted nature of humanity. Drawing inspiration from the vast tapestry of human experience, this collection delves deep into the myriad concepts that define and differentiate us. From the intricate workings of our intellects to the nuanced shades of our personalities, each poem serves as a mirror, reflecting the diverse aspects of our shared existence. The book is divided into thematic sections, each dedicated to a unique facet of humanity. In the section on intellect types, I ponder the dance between logic and creativity, the analytical mind versus the intuitive spirit. The poems about personality types delve into the contrasts and harmonies that exist within and between us, from the introverted dreamer to the extroverted doer. The zodiac signs, those ancient symbols that have guided and defined us for millennia, are reimagined in verse. Each sign, from the fiery Aries to the dreamy Pisces, is given its own poetic tribute, capturing its essence and its place in the cosmic dance. Beyond these, "Visions of Reflection" touches upon other concepts that shape our human experience: the roles we play, the masks we wear, and the threads of destiny that weave our stories together. The poems invite readers to see themselves in every line, to find resonance in the shared human experience, and to reflect on the beauty and complexity of our inner worlds. This collection is not just a series of poems; it's an invitation. An invitation to introspect, to connect, and to celebrate the myriad ways in which we are all beautifully, irrevocably human. Join me in this exploration, and may you find your own visions of reflection within these pages.

Book Description
In search of the 'truth', Gibran could find no single religious tradition which completely revealed its intention. Thus he wove together insights from Eastern Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, American Transcendentalism, and the folklore of his native Lebanon to create his own universal 'Anthem of Humanity' -- which is this superb selection of twenty-four meditations, essays, and prose poems.

Book Description
Many of us face feelings of powerlessness, unable to determine our destiny because we are often victims of our negative thoughts. Though we may be trapped in prisons of self-doubt, blind to the power of the possibilities within us, each of us is a work of art in progress, empowered by our dreams and by our visions of what we can achieve. More Reflections Painted in Verse seeks to offer proof that human beings, regardless of their callings in life, respond to the compelling power of the creative voice within them. It reveals poet Malcolm C. Kirwan's personal perspective on various themes: the fantasies, passions, joys, pain, and intrigue evoked by things romantic; the bonds of love that keep us united as families; the continuing search by persons of color for self-discovery; the power of the mind to define who we are; and the inspiration one can get from looking beyond one's limitations to one's possibilities. These verses reflect Kirwan's life experiences and his urge to contemplate and explore life's mysteries, portraying a search for self-discovery through the lens of poetry. Inspiring and uplifting, this collection of poetry examines our place on earth, the greater meaning of life and death, and all that happens in between to shape our destiny.

Book Description
Poetry of Spiritual Awakening presents a collection of poetry arranged in three groupings designed to indicate levels of conscious awareness experienced by author Hilton L. Anderson. Waking up spiritually is an individual process; even so, there are common themes experienced by many people that may help others in their own spiritual journey. In general terms, the separate ego state is focused primarily on the external reality while the spiritual is more focused on internal consciousness. Perhaps another way of explaining this spiritual awakening is recognizing the shift from the rational mind to heart consciousness. The way in which the poems of this collection are arranged is an attempt to make this shift obvious. Through the practice of forgiveness and the awareness of love, the separate self of the ego begins to lose its hold, allowing the awareness of the larger self to become the focus of attention. This awareness heals the separation of self from others and the Divine. Ultimately the awareness of the unitary nature of existence becomes known. The fear of death and its resolution are prominent concerns of many of the poems. The need to face the reality of death and understand it in a meaningful way is one of the basic learning explored by the poetry.
