Smith and Lucy Elliot, was born in New York, March 11, 1845, and died after a sudden illness, in her father's house at Fort Washington, July 19, 1871. A brief memorial by her Pastor, published shortly after her decease, and reprinted here, will sufficiently introduce the poems and few prose papers now offered her friends - which may safely be left to make their own impression.
