This exploratory study examined the personality traits and self-reported purpose in life among offensive and defensive football players. The primary goal was to discover whether significant differences in personality occur between offensive and defensive football players using the Big Five Inventory (BFI). Surveys and self-report data were gathered and statistically reviewed. Results indicate significant differences among personality traits when primary position and string of players interact.
