This book traces the life and work of two artists, Elijah Sylvester Newton Cawthorne (1844 - 1913) and his son Frederick Charles Cawthorne (1877 - 1940 who lived in Clitheroe, Lancashire.The Cawthorne artists are well-known in the area local to Clitheroe.
