Book Description
The first edition of my book KIRRDA was published in summer 2020. True, it suffered from teething problems, so I didn't expect it to be a huge success. However, contrary to my hopes, it has been well received by readers' feedback and sales statistics. Encouraged by this, I corrected as many of its errors as I could and re-released it. Meanwhile, I was busy typing the sequel, and wondered if there was more potential in the story than I had first suspected. The idea of interconnected stories in different ways had occurred to me. It was then that I met my first writer-colleague, Leslie Silent (László Fazekas). He encouraged me in this idea because he saw the potential in my project. After writing the sequels together and presenting them to the public, our next partner, Anna Silver, appeared. After that I was left scratching my head as amateur writers came forward to expand the universe of the KIRRDA world. In the end, I drew the line at 8 members, because you can have too much of a good thing. We decided to produce this short story collection as an introduction, with at least one work from each of us, including myself. However, at my personal request, this time there will be no works related to the KIRRDA stories. Those will be coming in the near future and I didn't want my peers to turn their ideas for full books into short stories. So, that's how this small team was born, who have been working tirelessly to build the world of KIRRDA... The KIRRDA UNIVERSE. #sci-fi #scifi #sciencefiction #action #adventure #romance #humour #alien #space

Book Description
Based on String theory, there is 3-cosmic framework of the Universe, which has triple cosmoses in the whole of space that can find a dark planet, located inside the Earth, but in the other cosmos than ours. Based on the 8 data of the cosmological parameters from the first year of WMAP observations to the Planck satellite observations in 2018, it can be speculated that the current dark energy should be taken as the residual energy of the Universe after the Big Ban. Due to the rapid expansion of other high-energy-density cosmoses, its dark matter should exert a gravitational pull on the stars of our low-energy-density cosmos that causes the effect of accelerating the expansion of our cosmos. Book Description
International bestselling authors Brian Cox and Jeff Forshaw's fascinating, entertaining, and clear introduction to quantum mechanics In The Quantum Universe, Brian Cox and Jeff Forshaw approach the world of quantum mechanics in the same way they did in Why Does E=mc2? and make fundamental scientific principles accessible-and fascinating-to everyone. The subatomic realm has a reputation for weirdness, spawning any number of profound misunderstandings, journeys into Eastern mysticism, and woolly pronouncements on the interconnectedness of all things. Cox and Forshaw's contention? There is no need for quantum mechanics to be viewed this way. There is a lot of mileage in the "weirdness" of the quantum world, and it often leads to confusion and, frankly, bad science. The Quantum Universe cuts through the Wu Li and asks what observations of the natural world made it necessary, how it was constructed, and why we are confident that, for all its apparent strangeness, it is a good theory. The quantum mechanics of The Quantum Universe provide a concrete model of nature that is comparable in its essence to Newton's laws of motion, Maxwell's theory of electricity and magnetism, and Einstein's theory of relativity.

Book Description
Humans have always viewed the heavens with wonder and awe. The skies have inspired reflection on the vastness of space, the wonder of creation, and humankind's role in the universe. In just over one hundred years, science has moved from almost total ignorance about the actual distances to the stars and earth's place in the galaxy to our present knowledge about the enormous size, mass, and age of the universe. We are reaching the limits of observation, and therefore the limits of human understanding. Beyond lies only our imagination, seeded by the theories of physics. In Measuring the Cosmos, science writers David and Matthew Clark tell the stories of both the well-known and the unsung heroes who played key roles in these discoveries. These true accounts reveal ambitions, conflicts, failures, as well as successes, as the astonishing scale and age of the universe were finally established. Few areas of scientific research have witnessed such drama in the form of ego clashes, priority claims, or failed (or even falsified) theories as that resulting from attempts to measure the universe. Besides giving credit where long overdue, Measuring the Cosmos explains the science behind these achievements in accessible language sure to appeal to astronomers, science buffs, and historians.

Book Description
What happened before the primordial fire of the Big Bang: a theory about the ultimate origin of the universe. In the beginning was the Big Bang: an unimaginably hot fire almost fourteen billion years ago in which the first elements were forged. The physical theory of the hot nascent universe—the Big Bang—was one of the most consequential developments in twentieth-century science. And yet it leaves many questions unanswered: Why is the universe so big? Why is it so old? What is the origin of structure in the cosmos? In An Infinity of Worlds, physicist Will Kinney explains a more recent theory that may hold the answers to these questions and even explain the ultimate origins of the universe: cosmic inflation, before the primordial fire of the Big Bang. Kinney argues that cosmic inflation is a transformational idea in cosmology, changing our picture of the basic structure of the cosmos and raising unavoidable questions about what we mean by a scientific theory. He explains that inflation is a remarkable unification of inner space and outer space, in which the physics of the very large (the cosmos) meets the physics of the very small (elementary particles and fields), closing in a full circle at the first moment of time. With quantum uncertainty its fundamental feature, this new picture of cosmic origins introduces the possibility that the origin of the universe was of a quantum nature. Kinney considers the consequences of eternal cosmic inflation. Can we come to terms with the possibility that our entire observable universe is one of infinitely many, forever hidden from our view?

Book Description
In the last hundred years, modern physics and cosmology have shown that there exist regions of the universe forever beyond our reach, hidden by truly ultimate horizons. Such regions exist in those remote parts of the universe where, from our point of view, space expands faster than the speed of light. They are found in black holes, where the gravity is strong enough to retain even light within its field of attraction. And in the realm of the very small, quarks must remain forever confined to their world of extreme density and can never be removed from it. The aim of this book is to describe these ultimate horizons, how they were discovered, how they shape our view of the world, and what clues we have about a world beyond them.

Book Description
Images of the Universe is a special collection of essays written to celebrate astronomy and the centenary of the British Astronomical Association. Colin Ronan opens the book with a fascinating account of the developments over the last hundred years. For the first time in history astronomers can detect radiation emanating from the Universe across the entire electromagnetic spectrum. Space probes have visited the planets and various missions have beamed back to Earth historically and scientifically important images, many of which appear in this book. Astronomy is a science where the amateur and the professional interact constructively. This book is a testament to this relationship. The work of amateurs is presented alongside that of the professional and in each chapter the future discoveries are anticipated. Each planet is explored and beautifully illustrated. The stars, birth place of the elements are examined. Paul Murdin, gives an account of the brightest supernova to be seen from earth since 1604. Iain Nicolson, explores G2 the single dwarf called the Sun. Heather Couper and Nigel Henbest look at the Milky Way, the hazy band of light that is the edge on view of our galaxy. Malcolm Longair looks beyond our own galaxy into the deep sky. Paul Davies gives an account of the first one second of the existence of our expanding Universe. How did it all happen? Martin Rees, the cosmologist, speculates on the origin of the Universe.
