Book Description
Musings of a Persecuted Soul is a story about spiritual catharsis, a search for answers to questions often avoided by Christians and rarely discussed from church pulpits. The author presents his lifelong quest to find spiritual equilibrium between his Christian beliefs and his secular education and personal observations in the natural world. Grounded in the Berean example of Acts 17:11, "to search the scriptures for truth," the author will take you on a thought-provoking journey, investigating topics guaranteed to provoke spiritual debate. Whether you are a strict traditionalist or a scriptural freethinker, Musings of a Persecuted Soul will challenge your established beliefs and breathe new spiritual life into your soul.

Musings of a Christian Physician on the Physical and Spiritual Healing of Man
Author: Joseph DeMay MD FAAP
Publisher: WestBow Press
ISBN: 1973691086
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 360
Book Description
I had always believed in the healing power of our Lord, and viewed my life as one of service to Him via the practice of medicine. But, in retrospect, I had a deeper trust in the power of modern medicine and science than I did in Jesus Christ and His fully accomplished work on the Cross. My thinking was flawed, but, as I grew in my walk with the Lord and meditated on Scripture more fully, I began to see the superiority of faith over the limited interventions modern medical science had to offer, and that this interplay between faith and science was not mutually exclusive, but complimentary, for the spiritual aspects of our lives illuminate and empower the carnal aspects of intellect and physical senses. I began jotting notes to myself related to this interplay of faith and healing and science, and just filed them away...for years. IThen, in December of 2017, a baby was born to a first time mother of mine, his little body riddled with the most fulminant form of acute lymphoblasic leukemia, almost always fatal. His absolutely miraculous healing was the impetus to start putting these thoughts into writing, in the form of weekday morning emails entitled “A Christian Doctor’s View of Healing, Faiith, and Science”. It was soon made clear to me that these writings were to take the form of a year long devotional book, comprised of short weekday messages that are intimately linked, such that they can be read through as a book. And that book was to paint a picture, and that picture was to be of a face, and the face was to be that of Jesus, for He is the source of all healing

Reflections and Musings From the Book of Revelation
Author: Shirley McClerklin-Motley PhD
Publisher: WestBow Press
ISBN:
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 310
Book Description
John had been left out on Patmos to die alone. The courts assumed that there was nothing he could do there to promote Jesus. But they miscalculated. God chose John to write the book of Revelation, which some refer to as Apocalypse. That word means the revelation of what will take place in the Incarnation hidden in a humble form. It means to uncover. If you are frying fish, everyone around is aware of the distinctively rich aroma. The person cooking the fish does not have to be seen and the fish does not have to be seen, but the person smelling the aroma instinctively wants to take a closer look at the fish. This is an example of the Apocalypse. What we surmised is revealed. Satan hates the book of Revelation because it shows him for who and what he is. He is counting on us to be afraid of the book because it foretells his end. Join the author as she takes a detailed look at the book that describes the years leading to the end of the world.
