Book Description
This book systematically discusses the anatomy and pathology of three specific regions of the upper extremity: the elbow, wrist, and hand. Divided into three sections, by body part, chapters cover anatomy and pathology. The anatomy chapters give a comprehensive view of each body part and normal variants found there. Although the primary modality emphasized will be MRI, illustrations and other modalities, including plain radiograph and CT, will be used to comprehensively discuss the anatomy of each region. Liberally illustrated, the pathology chapters then cover both traumatic and non-traumatic causes for imaging and detail how to perform and interpret each MRI. Specific examples include: osseous trauma, soft tissue trauma, and tumor imaging. Chapters are written with the deliberate intention to be of value to all levels of radiology training while remaining a reliable resource for attending radiologists.

Book Description
MRI of the Upper Extremity is a complete guide to MRI evaluation of shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, and finger disorders. This highly illustrated text/atlas presents a practical approach to MRI interpretation, emphasizing the clinical correlations of imaging findings. More than 1,100 MRI scans show normal anatomy and pathologic findings, and a full-color cadaveric atlas familiarizes readers with anatomic structures seen on MR images. Coverage of each joint begins with a review of MRI anatomy with cadaveric correlation and proceeds to technical MR imaging considerations and clinical assessment. Subsequent chapters thoroughly describe and illustrate MRI findings for specific disorders, including rotator cuff disease, nerve entrapment syndromes, osteochondral bodies, and triangular fibrocartilage disorders.

Book Description
This open access book focuses on imaging of the musculoskeletal diseases. Over the last few years, there have been considerable advances in this area, driven by clinical as well as technological developments. The authors are all internationally renowned experts in their field. They are also excellent teachers, and provide didactically outstanding chapters. The book is disease-oriented and covers all relevant imaging modalities, with particular emphasis on magnetic resonance imaging. Important aspects of pediatric imaging are also included. IDKD books are completely re-written every four years. As a result, they offer a comprehensive review of the state of the art in imaging. The book is clearly structured with learning objectives, abstracts, subheadings, tables and take-home points, supported by design elements to help readers easily navigate through the text. As an IDKD book, it is particularly valuable for general radiologists, radiology residents, and interventional radiologists who want to update their diagnostic knowledge, and for clinicians interested in imaging as it relates to their specialty.

Book Description
While MRI has proved itself to be an excellent diagnostic noninvasive modality for imaging of the brain, medulla, and musculoskeletal system due to its high intrinsic con trast resolution and tissue characterisation potential based on the judicious application of specific sequences, this has not been the case in the abdomen and pelvis. The reasons are the long exposure time and the lower spatial resolution, inherent to MRI. However, during recent years considerable process has been achieved in MRI of the abdominal and pelvic organs due to the development of new and more rapid imaging sequences and the routine clinical application of specific magnetic resonance contrast media. Consequently for some anatomical areas such as the female genital organs and the biliary system MRI is already the best performing morphological diagnostic modality. However, the question arises as to wether MRI, given its performance capabilities, should not also be considered a primary diagnostic modality for the study of parenchymal organs like the liver, spleen, and pancreas, and not merely as a complen tary modality to solve residual problems after ultrasonography and computed tomog raphy have been performed. Although the future role of MRI in respect of the gas trointestinal tube itself is still somewhat unclear, some possibilities for routine clinical use are becoming visible even in this abdominal field.

Book Description
Musculoskeletal MRI covers the essential and basic facts of musculoskeletal magnetic resonance imaging. Normal anatomy, the most common abnormalities, and diseases that are unique to the anatomic site are discussed along with individual joints and general diseaseprocesses. To facilitate learning, the text is logically organised by discussing the components of anatomy, then immediately explains abnormalities affecting the individual structures. Covers the essentials of MR Imaging of the musculoskeletal system, including joints, osseous and soft tissue structures of the extremities and the spine. Ideal for residents studying for radiology board examinations. Concise content and layout appeals to practising radiologists who want a quick, but thorough review of the subject. Specific joint chapters include detailed protocols for MRI acquisition and interpretation. Only the basic, important and essential information is included - a benefit to busy residents or practising radiologists needing to understand and interpret films to make a solid diagnosis. Includes practical coverage of the spine, normally only included in neuroradiology texts. Includes over 1,100 state of the art images that provide a realistic standard of comparison and help to facilitate understanding of anatomy and diseases.

Book Description
Netter's Introduction to Imaging, by Larry R. Cochard, PhD, Lori A Goodhartz, MD Carla B, Harmath, MD, Nancy M. Major MD, and Srinivasan Mukundan, JR, MD, makes interpreting normal and abnormal X-ray, CT, and MR images easy by correlating them with crystal-clear Netter illustrations. You'll learn to recognize anatomical relationships in images and apply them to a variety of examples of pathology throughout the body, including the imaging of masses, air, or blood in organs and spaces...fractures, thickening, constriction, and compression...and more. It's an ideal introduction to diagnostic imaging! Visualize anatomical structures and relationships with perfect clarity with the aid of vivid, colorful Netter artwork. The coloring, texture, and idealized emphasis help you interpret relationships between structures and compartments as seen in cross section and in X-rays, CT, and MRI. Develop your ability to better identify pathologies by viewing normal healthy anatomical images and abnormal images. Comparative images reinforce your basic understanding of what normal tissues and anatomy look like and serve as a guide in recognizing disease patterns and processes: atypically large or small organs and compartments, masses, air, or blood in organs and spaces, fractures, thickening, constriction, compression, and more. Understand the principles that underlie X-ray, CT, MR, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine imaging, the use of contrast and angiography. Understand how radiologists apply systematic search strategies in imaging studies of each region of the body.
