Book Description
In 2009, a few inspired individuals took notice of the plight of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's former home 'Undershaw' in Hindhead, Surrey and determined that it was up to them to do something about it. Banding together, they found a way to create a window for spreading their passion and energy outwards to the world around them. In the years that have followed, that window has grown into a vast portal, through which thousands of devoted Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Sherlock Holmes fans from all over the world have gained (and seized) the opportunity to have a very tangible impact on the preservation of Doyle's legacy. For those involved, Undershaw is infinitely more than 'just a house'. The purpose of this book is to hold a proverbial hand lens to that deeper meaning in hopes of capturing some small part of the deep emotion it represents. In the pages that follow, you will find an eclectic collection of essays, original artwork, and photography created by supporters and ambassadors from a wide range of countries, all of which in some way address the same set of questions: What is it about Undershaw that has the power to drive such a wide range of people from all over the globe (most of whom have never met one another in person) to join hands in support of protecting something that for many is thousands of miles away in a foreign country? How has the campaign or the property itself touched the lives of those who have come into contact with it and what sorts of experiences have people had as a result? Our intention here is to create a kind of insightful snapshot of these things as both a form of reverent acknowledgement for the efforts that have been put forth thus far, as well as a source of inspiration for the future.

Book Description
64 new traditional Holmes adventures in three simultaneously published volumes In 2018, MX Publishing presented Parts XI and XII of this acclaimed and ongoing series, Some Untold Cases. Now that theme is revisited with 64 new Sherlock Holmes adventures that explore those many tantalizing references to some of Holmes's other cases, as mentioned in The Canon. "Somewhere in the vaults of the bank of Cox and Co., at Charing Cross, there is a travel-worn and battered tin dispatch box with my name, John H. Watson, M.D., Late Indian Army, painted upon the lid. It is crammed with papers, nearly all of which are records of cases to illustrate the curious problems which Mr. Sherlock Holmes had at various times to examine . . . ." - Dr. John H. Watson So wrote Dr. Watson in "The Problem of Thor Bridge" - and ever since, Sherlockians have been seeking to know more about these tales from the legendary tin dispatch box. While Watson's original Literary Agent only edited the pitifully few sixty stories that make up the original Canon, there have since been literally thousands of traditional adventures about the true Sherlock Holmes - and yet there will never be enough! Throughout the original Holmes Canon, there were hints and teases of other intriguing cases - The Giant Rat of Sumatra . . . The Abernetty Tragedy . . . The Manor House Case. Watson mentions well over one-hundred of these, which have collectively come to be known as The Untold Cases. Now, once again MX Publishing brings us sixty-four of these adventures in three simultaneously published volumes, with all royalties going to support the Stepping Stones School at Undershaw, one of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's former homes. Join us as we return to Baker Street and discover more authentic adventures of Sherlock Holmes, described by the estimable Dr. Watson as "the best and wisest . . . whom I have ever known." Each volume contains forwards by Otto Penzler, Roger Johnson, Stepping Stones School, Steve Emecz, and David Marcum, as well as stories by the following contributors: Marcia Wilson, Brenda Seabrooke, Stephen Herczeg, Tracy J. Revels, Kevin P. Thornton, Thomas A. Book Description
In Dust and Shadow Sherlock Holmes hunts down Jack the Ripper with impeccably accurate historical detail, rooting the Whitechapel investigation in the fledgling days of tabloid journalism and clinical psychology. This astonishing debut explores the terrifying prospect of hunting down one of the world's first serial killers without the advantage of modern forensics or profiling. Sherlock's desire to stop the killer who is terrifying the East End of London is unwavering from the start, and in an effort to do so he hires an "unfortuate" known as Mary Ann Monk, the friend of a fellow streetwalker who was one of the Ripper's earliest victims. However, when Holmes himself is wounded in Whitechapel attempting to catch the villain, and a series of articles in the popular press question his role in the crimes, he must use all his resources in a desperate race to find the man known as "The Knife" before it is too late. Penned as a pastiche by the loyal and courageous Dr. Watson, Dust and Shadow recalls the ideals evinced by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's most beloved and world-renowned characters, while testing the limits of their strength in a fight to protect the women of London, Scotland Yard, and the peace of the city itself.
