Este libro pretende ayudarte a tener una comprensión más profunda de los misterios y la dinámica de la vida cristiana. Tómalo como una herramienta de estudio para entenderla como Dios quisiera que la entiendas. La vida en Cristo es muy simple. Sin embargo, nuestra naturaleza humana pecaminosa, desviada, independiente, autosuficiente y soberbia, lo hace todo difícil y complicado. Resultan muy apropiadas las palabras del sabio Salomón, que escribió: “He aquí, solamente esto he hallado: que Dios hizo al hombre recto, pero ellos buscaron muchas perversiones” (Ecl. 7:29, versión Reina-Valera, 1960). O como lo dice la versión Dios habla hoy: “Solamente he encontrado lo siguiente: que Dios hizo perfecto al hombre, pero éste se ha complicado la vida”. El apóstol Pablo resumió el cristianismo muy apropiadamente cuando dijo: “Para mí el vivir es Cristo” (Fil. 1:21). En todas las Escrituras se ve a Cristo como el personaje central. El mismo Jesús dijo, hablando de las Escrituras: “Ellas son las que dan testimonio de mí” (Jn. 5:39). Definitivamente, no se puede concebir la vida cristiana sin Cristo. Solo una vida centrada en él es verdadero cristianismo. La vida eterna está dada en el conocimiento verdadero, íntimo y vivencial de Jesucristo, el enviado de Dios. Y esta es la esencia de la vida cristiana (Jn. 17:3, Paráfrasis).

Most evangelical Christians believe that those people who are not saved before they die will be punished in hell forever. But is this what the Bible truly teaches?
