Cette dernière est constituée de plusieurs couches de matières différentes impliquant des jeux de lumières et des effets colorés variés. Lorsque le céramiste élabore une restauration prothétique en céramique, il cherche à obtenir une prothèse qui sera le plus mimétique possible, le but étant de ne pas pouvoir la distinguer au sein d'un sourire naturel. Pour cela il dispose d'un panel de matériaux et de techniques de mise en oeuvre variés. Néanmoins, c'est le clinicien qui doit relever les singularités anatomiques à fournir au prothésiste et leur étroite collaboration permet d'aboutir à un résultat esthétique optimal. L'objectif de notre travail est de mettre en lumière les différentes possibilités techniques qui s'offrent au céramiste et au clinicien afin d'élaborer des restaurations prothétiques s'intégrant dans le sourire du patient.
