Book Description
Seminar paper from the year 2016 in the subject Business economics - Company formation, Business Plans, grade: 4.6/7, Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University, course: B.A, LLB, language: English, abstract: The project at large will be dealing with the aspiration of the youth, the people who intend to build their startup and grow like the successful entrepreneurs. The term “entrepreneurship” comes from the French verb “entreprendre” and the German word “unternehmen”, both mean to “undertake”. Bygrave and Hofer in 1891 defined the entrepreneurial process as involving all the functions, activities, and actions associated with perceiving of opportunities and creation of organizations to pursue them. In simple, entrepreneurship is the act of being an entrepreneur, which can be defined as "one who undertakes innovations, finance and business acumen in an effort to transform innovations into economic goods" (Santhi and Kumar) This paper draws together arguments, conclusions and insights generated by research to develop and test practical tools that could help development practitioners use sustainable livelihoods approaches in the particular context of enterprise development. The constraint of finance seems to be the primary reason, though there are several other constraints which seem to have been hidden by the seasoned politicians. The act of not reimbursing the small-scale industries sectors has demoralized the novice and the adept entrepreneurs in executing their plan.

Book Description
Most people living in India's rural areas draw their livelihoods from agriculture and allied sectors. However, the growth and balanced development of other sectors, such as industry and services, is also necessary to sustain the growth of the economy in an inclusive manner. Micro credit has emerged as a visible credit channel to the poor as their access to conventional credit channels is constrained by the requirement of collateral and high transaction cost. The target groups, therefore, broadly comprise small and marginal farmers, agricultural and non-agricultural laborers, artisans and craftsmen, and other poor individuals engaged in small businesses. This book focuses on micro finance and the micro enterprises in India, which help provide livelihoods, generate export earnings, and touch upon the lives of the remotest and most marginalized people. The needs, problems, and potential of these enterprises differ not just with the nature of activity (weaving, knitting, wood-carving, etc.), but also with the size, geographical location, and organizational structure. Not only do micro enterprises generate the highest employment per capita investment, they also go a long way in checking rural-urban migration by providing villagers and people living in isolated areas with a sustainable source of employment.

Over time, more and more small business owners emerged and organised their own settings to sustain business activities.Contemporary times challenge emerging economies — like India — to adopt entrepreneurship in order to boost its economy. Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the preferred way of addressing these challenges; however, the ecosystem required to promote these MSMEs poses significant challenges and requires change to be sustainable. This book examines original case studies, quantitative studies and qualitative research highlighting the organisation of new business, reflecting a wide range of sectors across India. The book offers new insights to budding entrepreneurs to help organise new and established firms to infuse entrepreneurial intentions among the workforce.

Book Description
Reliable supply of 24-hour electricity in the State of Madhya Pradesh since 2014 has transformed the lives of many, including women from low-income households. An Asian Development Bank project validates how women can be empowered through capacity development in efficient use of electricity and energy-based enterprises, and provision of business development services. The case study builds up on the project progress so far, showcasing women who, along with their sense of personal empowerment, have increased their incomes and savings through microenterprises. The case study reaffirms that a steady supply of electricity, coupled with capacity development, helps create an arena where men and women are accorded equal participation in business opportunities.

Book Description
The economic liberalization in India over the last three decades has provided a wealth of opportunity for entrepreneurs looking to start and expand their businesses. Since the economy opened up in the 1990s, entrepreneurial activity in the private sector has been largely responsible for the strong economic growth experienced in the country. India is presently the world’s third largest source of start-ups, and was ranked the second most entrepreneurial country in the world in the recent Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) report, ahead of large economic powerhouses such as the United States, China and the UK. Entrepreneurship in India looks at the dynamic and changing nature of entrepreneurship in India. The book examines the history of entrepreneurship in India, different entrepreneurship models adopted, the entrepreneurial ecosystem and looks at the future of entrepreneurship in the country. This book will benefit businesspeople, policy makers and researchers looking to understand more about entrepreneurship in India, and offers guidance to foreign businesses looking to engage with entrepreneurs in India.
