This letter in Spanish is dated 5 March 1566, is addressed to 'Cosme de Medicis' (Cosimo I de' Medici, Duke of Florence), and encourages him to listen to the writer's emissary who is bringing news, including rumours of a Turkish army attack. The letter contains an assurance that the addressee is appreciated and that when the writer returns he will do what he can to make life easier for him. This item bears the earlier collection number (accession number) M5487, and is accompanied by printed transcriptions and an English translation.
