My Lord, It is not from want of attention to your Lordship, that I have hitherto abstained from doing myself the honour of writing to you. With great truth I can say it, you have not been absent from my thoughts, during any one compleat day, for more than three years past; but the subject on which I meant to address your Lordship, was too interesting, and agitated me too strongly, to admit of my commencing this correspondence sooner.
